Some Tension Doesn't Release in One Session — Here's What to Do About It

If you've ever left a massage feeling wonderful, only to have the same stiff neck or tight low back creep back a few days later — this one's for you.
That returning tension usually isn't a sign the work didn't take. It's a sign the tissue itself has changed. Between your muscles is a layer of connective tissue that's supposed to let everything glide smoothly. With stress, overuse, injury, or long hours held in one position, that layer can thicken and stop sliding freely. One session softens it. But tissue that's spent months getting "stuck" tends to need a short, consistent series to actually change — and stay changed.
That's why I've built something new, and I'm genuinely excited to offer it.
The Myofascial Bodywork Release Series
This is a focused, three-session protocol designed for the tension that keeps coming back. Rather than a one-off massage, we work the same restricted areas across three sessions, one per week, so the change has a chance to hold.
How the three weeks unfold:
Week 1 — Map & mobilize. We assess how your tissue is actually moving and begin the specific, sustained work.
Week 2 — Deepen. We return to the same areas while the tissue is still responsive — this is where consistency does its work.
Week 3 — Integrate. We work the areas a final time and send you home with self-care to protect your results.
This is deliberate, methodical bodywork — not a spa relaxation massage — though most people find it deeply settling all the same.
A note on the "why"
This structure reflects how fascial tissue actually changes: gradually, with repetition. Research on fascial work for myofascial pain has used a similar cadence of three treatments at roughly weekly intervals, and the underlying science is well established — stiffness and pain are linked to a thickening of the fluid-rich layer between fascial planes, and focused manual work helps restore healthy glide. I'm always happy to share the research, including with your physician or physical therapist.

Two ways to experience it
Myofascial Bodywork Release Series
Three 45-minute sessions over three weeks. $330, prepaid.
Myofascial Bodywork Release Series + Flush
The full experience. Each session pairs the 45 minutes of focused fascial work with a 30-minute manual lymphatic drainage finish. The fascia work mobilizes tissue and gets fluid moving; the light, rhythmic drainage that follows helps clear it — many people find it eases next-day soreness and leaves them profoundly relaxed. Three 75-minute sessions over three weeks. $525, prepaid.
Is it right for you?
This series is a wonderful fit if:
Your tension returns between sessions
Desk-life stiffness has settled into your neck, shoulders, or back
A single massage helps but doesn't hold
Your tissue feels ropey or "stuck," not just sore
Because this is sustained, specific work, it isn't the right starting point for everyone. If you're managing lymphedema, are in active treatment for certain conditions, or are recently post-surgical, just reach out before booking and we'll find the right fit for you together.
