with Cheri Koons, LMT, CLT, RN, BSN
Service Description
—A Scientific, Sequence-Based Approach to Lymphedema and Wellness— Each session begins with a comprehensive assessment and personalized plan tailored to your specific needs, with session times adjusted accordingly. I am certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage™ (MLD-C), a specialized technique aimed at enhancing lymphatic flow and promoting recovery. My certification was achieved through a rigorous program specifically for licensed therapists, focusing on cutting-edge hand techniques and technology vital to modern lymphedema care. This program was created by LANA Certified Lymphedema Therapists—licensed physical and occupational therapists—with a strong foundation in both traditional and innovative approaches. Using advanced insights from ICG fluoroscopy of live lymphatics, the program introduces the Lymphatic & Integumentary Rehabilitation (LIR™) approach, a science-backed method designed to optimize lymphatic health. MLD for General Wellness In addition to treating lymphedema, I also provide MLD as a general wellness service for those looking to support overall health and vitality. Regular lymphatic massage can aid the body’s natural detoxification processes, enhance immune function, reduce inflammation, and relieve stress. MLD has been shown to improve circulation, reduce bloating, support skin tone, and promote relaxation, making it an excellent choice for maintaining balance and resilience. Integrated modalities when applicable: Cupping to stimulate blood and lymph flow & relieve muscle tension; Dry Brushing for gentle exfoliation & circulation; Light Massage Therapy to further relaxation using lymph supporting oils; Gua Sha to stimulate lymph flow and release muscle tension; Rose quartz sonic facial roller and under eye stone to stimulate lymph flow & blood circulation, & reduce puffiness; Hot Stones to relieve muscle tension & pain, help reduce stress, & promote relaxation; Cold marble stones to help reduce inflammation, ease pain, & promote relaxation; Theragun to reduce tight muscles, ease pain, & help enhance muscle recovery before & after workouts; Essential Oils for aromatherapy, enhance relaxation, lift mood, & promote a sense of well-being
