Here is some Surprising advice for Feeling and Being Well: Turn Yourself Upside Down a-Spell Sometimes we stick with what we know because it has kept us safe and sound. Sometimes we maintain the status quo because we don’t feel supported to explore what is new and different.  But does doing the same thing keep us healthy? What happens if we flip something around?  

Ancient yogis called gravity “the silent enemy” and to promote their health, turned themselves upside down (inversion), transforming what can drag us down into a positive force for the body.  Inversions can: Improve circulation Calm the mind Lower blood pressure Build strength  

We invite you to turn your own practice around a bit this year.  Join us February 2024, each Sunday morning. 

You will learn easy, safe and fun approaches that ANYONE can do.  

February 4 – Shoulder stand - 1 CE Yoga Alliance

February 11 – Crow - 1 CE Yoga Alliance

February 18 – Forearm stand  - 1 CE Yoga Alliance

February 25 - Handstand  - 1 CE Yoga Alliance

You will find forms that fit you as you are right now! And you might discover movements to build towards throughout the year.   

Join Shaun Levi and Kate Toczek for the Up Side of Getting UpSide-Down 

A 4-session workshop, Sundays in February 2024, 10:30 – Noon.  

Register for one week at a time, or enjoy a discounted rate for all four. 

All levels are welcome, especially beginners and yoga teachers.  

Class includes: 

Warm-up 

Movement instruction, 

Practice time 

Partner postures 

Supporting exercises 

Cool-down and rest  

Please note that if you have any of the following health conditions, consult your doctor before class. We will have options that all can practice, but please be certain of the appropriate range of movement for your condition.  

Cervical spondylitis  

Cardiovascular disease  

Hypertension  

Diabetes and/or insulin resistance  

Glaucoma, detached retina or extreme nearsightedness  

Sinus or ear infections  

Pregnancy past the first trimester   

Shaun Levi is a 200 RYT also certified in Yoga Nidra and Ayurveda 

Kate Toczek is a 500 E-RYT, Personal Trainer, and a Stretching & Flexibility Coach
