About the Event

This Standard V Ethics class will cover the importance of therapist/client communication, which is key to building and maintaining a therapeutic relationship. Topics to be covered include:  Initial contact, completing a thorough intake, discussing precautions and contraindications, honesty and integrity, importance of listening to client, reading body language, emotional release, trauma, importance of honoring client feedback on/off the table, documentation, client confidentiality, roles and boundaries, SOP, and doctor notes/communication. Lecture, class participation and interaction, and supervised role playing will round out this fun and fast-paced class.  Fulfills Standard V:  Roles and Boundaries as required by the PA State Board of Massage Therapy.

Lin is a Lancaster, PA based Board Certified, licensed massage therapist, a licensed esthetician, and an NCBTMB-approved continuing education provider. 

She is a preferred practitioner and educator for the Society for Oncology Massage (S4OM) and has worked as a nurse for 35 years, caring for individuals living with cancer and those who are medically frail. 

Lin is a life-long learner and is passionate about teaching as well as acting as a mentor for fellow massage therapists and CE Providers.
