Service Description
Founded by Dr. Emil Vodder, this is a gentle, noninvasive technique. Unlike typical gliding and kneading of muscles and tissue this is slow, rhythmical, and involves a slight stretching or pumping action. It increases the return of lymph to the circulatory system and assists and accelerates the body’s natural process of draining water, proteins, and used cellular components “toxins” from the space between the tissues. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is ideal for post-surgical, post-injury, and other edema reduction. It is also an excellent way to stimulate the immune system, and as an alternative to massage for those suffering from fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, or as a seasonal “flush”, and much more. Certification through Klose education has allowed Tasha to expand her passion in the knowledge of the lymphatic system. *Upon your visit and through intake it may be determined that a doctor's note is required prior to receiving treatment. If necessary, Tasha will work with you to reschedule the appointment as soon as possible. It is ideal for this treatment to be received 2 times a week for best results. You may be able to send in an insurance claim for this service, as it often is medically necessary.
